Frontier Medicine are a music recording duo based in Portland, Oregon formed by Jackson Conrad and Jetamio Kennedy. Originally formed in 2004 as “Remedy” to compete in a high school talent show, Jetamio approached Jackson to play drums for a song they had written. The two quickly developed a fluent songwriting language between each other with a flowing creativity they were unable to find with other musical counterparts. Shortly after its inception and several lineup changes, Remedy disbanded and life moved on. 

Reformed in 2020, Jackson and Je reignited their songwriting collaboration and aimed to complete what they had dreamed to do as teens. With years of experience, success, and hardships between the two, and a backlog of half-finished songs and drunken mumbles into a cell-phone note pad just waiting for contribution from the missing half, Frontier Medicine is primed to construct a listening experience that's more than just an overnight sensation.

Je’s emotive voice captures attention while being both powerful and vulnerable, and backed by Jackson’s multi-faceted approach to all instrumentation, Frontier Medicine’s sound represents a fresh interpretation of nostalgia, with elements of folk, soul, grunge, Americana, and progressive rock. Drawing from a multitude of influences, their sound is best described simply as “rock and roll.”

Frontier Medicine will release their debut album May 2026.
